Lauryn Hill In Trouble With The IRS. Could Face Up To 3 Years In Prison And A $300,000 Fine
Lauryn Hill is in serious trouble with the Internal Revenue Service. In charges filed in a New Jersey Federal Court, the former Fugees singer is accused of not paying taxes in the years 2005, 2006 and 2007. According to a report by TMZ, Hill earned more than$1.8 million during those years.
If found guilty of the charges Hill could face up to three years in prison and a $300,000fine.
She is scheduled to appear in court on June 29.
